This trip was my first time in Barcelona and I instantly became in love with the city with its narrow streets, cosy restaurants, friendly people and closeness the beach. I´m not really a beach person but I like to have it close. We were in Barcelona for 6 days, half the trip we spent together with friends and half on our own. Freddy had already been in Barcelona before so we did a little bit of sight seeing but most of the time just looking for good things to eat and drink. We went on a bike tour that lasted for three hours, including breaks, that I recommend you to try if you haven´t already. The tour guide was great and you get to see a lot of different parts of the city.
Down below I´m going to list our favorite food spots that we found (most of them focused on gluten free alternative). Please share with me in the comments if you have any other food spots that you recommend!
C/ Diputacio 55
Copaseptic is a great place for breakfast and brunch. They tend to use seasonal or organic products whenever it´s possible and offert a variety of gluten free and lactose free options. For instans you can eat gluten free crepes, pancakes, sandwiches, burgers, homemade cakes and so on.
Llibreteria 1(Plaça Sant Jaume)
This is the perfect stop if you want a quick sandwich for breakfast or lunch. They also have great gluten free sandwiches with different toppings. I spotted that they had a gluten free zone in the kitchen.
Il Piccolo Focone
C/Dos de Maig, 268
Here both me and Freddy enjoyed fantastic pizza, Freddy a gluten free version and me a normal one, and both equally good. Very friendly staff aswell.
Carrer de la Reina Cristina, 7
This was the best place we visit if you ask me. You go to this place to drink Cava but you can´t just drink, you have to order a little snack with your drink, and they have amazing cheeses, sausages, ham, burgers, olives etc. Sadly they don´t have any gluten free bread or special alternatives but they have a lot of naturally gluten free options so it´s definitely no problem to eat here. Go here and feel like a local!
