Tinto de Verano is the Spaniards’ own quick version of sangria. It´s so simple and impossible to fail, and what ever box of wine is fine.
Spain has gotten a lot of things right. Siestas, amazing cheese and ham, fresh olives, spending long days at the beach and of course – wine. For days when it’s just too hot for red wine, this drink is the best way to go. I first had Tinto de Verano when I was visiting Freddy´s parents in Spain a few years ago and I loved it at first taste. In Spain you can find this drink in pretty much every bar and cafés, plus it´s cheap too.
HosJosephine´s Tinto de Verano is a refreshing drink that is perfect on hot summer days and if you have unexpected guests and want to serve something refreshing without much effort.
