Me and Freddy just got back after one week in the French alpes skiing. We have had an amazing week with great weather, lots of good food and wine, met some nice people and skied in perfect slopes. We got five amazing days of blue sky and sun but our last 6th day was very cloudy and snowy so that day I stayed mostly inside drinking hot chocolate (with lots of whipped cream on top!!). I think it´s a bit to scary to go out in the slopes when it’s so hard to see. My legs were pretty sore too so I did´t mind.
We travelled with a company called Langley and stayed in the village Tignes. If any of you planning to go here I recommend a very cosy wine bar called La palette du Boulele that served local cheese and other cold cuts.
Now I’m happy to be home in my kitchen again! Cooking is for me pure happiness and I have got a lot of inspiration to kick things off. I start with this French inspired crispy Duck Croquettes recipe that is absolutely amazing. They’re a bit tricky to make but totally worth it. Make a few extra while you’re at it. You can keep them in the freezer, just ready to deep fry when you want to.
Hope you like it!
