Gluten free Strawberry Galette
Galette is a term used in French cuisine to designate various types of flat round or freeform crusty cakes. In this recipe of gluten free strawberry galette I fill it with fresh strawberries, apples, zest from lemon and cardamom.
The galette is similar to a pizza crust or tart, but much more rustic and elegant and surprisingly very easy to make. Once you’ve nailed how to make the basic dough you can top it with delicious combinations of sweet or savory fillings of your choice.
I serve my gluten free strawberry galette with homemade vanilla custard, but you can also serve it with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
