Most of you have eaten whipped butter in restaurants and you will be surprised how easy it is to make at home. You can flavor you butter endlessly for example with different herbs, lemon and chili. Serve on meat, vegetables, naturally gluten free baguettes, crispy seed crackers etc.
Whipped browned butter has a golden color and a nutty, toffee taste. Browned butter is delicious to have in frostings and cakes too to add that little bit of extra flavor.
- Melt butter over medium heat in a large sauce pan. Boil until the butter turns brown. Be careful so it does not burn.
- Pour butter in another bowl and let it cool.
- When cool, whip in a food processor until it’s soft and fluffy. Sprinkle it with sea salt. Enjoy on freshly baked bread.
